Leader’s lunch with Colin Sexstone 20 February 2008
The next leader’s lunch is “What can business leaders learn from the world of sport?” and features Colin Sexstone, Chief Executive of Bristol City Football Club.
Colin Sexstone was educated at Colton’s School, Bristol and the Bristol College of Commerce where he took a Business Studies Degree. He worked for GB Britton & Sons in Bristol as a management trainee before joining the administrative branch of the Royal Air Force. After a 25-year career he retired in 1996 at the rank of Group Captain as the RAF’s Senior Personnel Staff Officer.
He was appointed Chief Executive of Gloucestershire County cricket Club and during his period with the club they enjoyed five trophies and developed the ground to international standard. He left in 2001 to join Bristol City Football Club as Chief Executive. During this period the the ground has been developed into a major concert venue.
